Who is Jesus?  

Introduction: Do you know why peoples all over the world celebrate Christmas, the day of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ? Shouldn’t all the people prove into this question? 1. Origin of the word Jesus Matt. 1:21
“you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
 2. Jesus, named Immanuel
Is. 7:14 “Behold the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel.”
3. Jesus is the Messiah
John 4:25 “’I know that Messiah is coming’ (who is called Christ). ‘When He comes, He will tell us all things.’”
4. Jesus is the Divine Messenger
John 3:17 “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 6:38 “For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.”
5. Jesus is the Servant
Is. 42:1 “Behold! My Servant whom I uphold. My Elect One in whom My soul delights!”
6. Jesus is the Son of God, the only begotten Son
Matt. 2:15 “Out of Egypt, I called My Son.” John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
7. Jesus is the Eternal
Rom. 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
8. Jesus is the image of the invisible God
John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Ward was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:14 “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” Col. 1-15 “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.”
9. Jesus is the Redeemer
Matt. 20:28 “the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
10. Jesus is the Christ
Luke 9:20 “He said to them, ’But who do you say that I am?’ Peter answered and said, “The Christ of God.’”
11. Jesus is the Savior
Is. 59:20 “’The Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those who turn from transgression in Jacob.’ says the Lord.” Luke 2:11 “For today there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” John 4:42 “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.”
12. Jesus is the Creator
1 Cor. 8:6 “for us there is . . . . one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.” Col. 1:16 “For by Him all things are created that are in heaven and that are on earth.”
13. Jesus is the Everlasting Father
Is. 9:6 “And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, . . .” John 5:26 “For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself.” Heb. 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.”
14. Jesus is the Righteousness of God
1 John 2:29 “If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.”
15. Jesus is the Consolation of Israel
Luke 2:25 “And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy spirit was upon him.”
16. Jesus is the Comforter
Luke 7:13 “when the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, ‘Do not weep.’”
17. Jesus is the Spirit of Grace
Ps. 84:11 “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory:” Zech. 12:10 “And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication.” Luke 2:40 “And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, fill with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon Him.”
18. Jesus is the Word
John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God.” Rev. 19:13 “His name is called the Word of God.”
19. Jesus is the God of the whole earth
Is. 54:5 “He is called the God of the whole earth.” Rom. 3:29 “Is He not also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also.”
20. Jesus is the Son of Man
Matt. 9:6 “But that you may know that the son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins.” Matt. 16:13 “He asked His disciples, saying “Whom do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?’” Matt. 20:28 “the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.”
21. Jesus is the good Shepherd
John 10:14 “I am the good shepherd, and I know My sheep, and am known by My own.”
22. Jesus is the Liberator
John 8:32 “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:36 “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
23. Jesus is the true Light
John 1:9 “That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.” John 12:46 “I have come as a light into the world, that whosoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.”
24. Jesus is the Bread of Life
John 6:35 “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.” 25. Jesus is the Living Water
John 4:10 “If you knew the gift of God, and who is it who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”
26. Jesus is the True Vine
John 15:1 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.” John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches.. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit, for without Me you can do nothing.”
27. Jesus is the Lamb of God
John 1:29 “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, ‘Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!’” 1 Cor. 5:7 “For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.”
28. Jesus is the King of the Eternal Kingdom

Matt. 23:8 “But ye not be called Rabbi, for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.” Luke 6:40 “The disciple is not above his master; but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.”
40. Jesus is the Temple
John 2:20-21 “Then the Jews said, ‘It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days’ But he was speaking of the temple of His body.”
41. Jesus is the Head of the Church

52. Jesus is the Advocate
Luke 23:34 “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” Heb. 9:24 “For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.”
53. Jesus is the Mediator
1 Tim 2:5 “For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.”
54. Jesus is the Judge
Matt. 19:28 “In the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
55. Jesus is the Alpha and Omega
John 10:30 “I and Father are one.” Rev. 22:13 “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”
56. Jesus is the Goal
Matt. 28:20 “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
