Dear Mr Lim

On behalf of my father, may I thank you very much for the very generous gift of $150 U.S. With his increasing frailty and loss of short-term memory, I have taken over all his administration and he has moved into a nursing home near to my home. For your information, the best way to contact him now is through me at my home, details as follows:

Dr David Landsborough Care of Don Landsborough

24 Pirton Road Hitchin Herts SG5 2BD UK

I visited Dad yesterday and showed him your generous cheque and your lovely letter, and he remembered your kindness and concern for him over the years. It is interesting ¡V he remembers very clearly everything from longer ago, but what happened today or yesterday he cannot retain.

I am not sure whether you are fully up to date with what actually happened to Dad.

In early October 2009 he fell and broke his left upper leg. This was surgically repaired without a hip replacement, but after five weeks in hospital he has lost mobility and so he is no longer able to live alone. For some weeks after he left hospital we had a trained nurse living with him at home, but it was not possible to continue with this arrangement because of the extent of his immobility ¡V he has to be physically lifted to get out of bed or a chair, whether day or night, so one person could not cope with the 24/7 regime. We were fortunate to find a Christian care home near to Hitchin, where I live

Again, very many thanks for your continued support and prayers.

Best regards

Don Landsborough
