On June 25,1995 a special thanksgiving service was held in
Chungli （中壢,
Tiong-lek in Taiwanese）. In the service, which was
interdenominational, people gave their thanks to the translation
team that published the Hakka Proverbs. In particular, they gave
special thanks to Rev. Paul McLean （麥煜道）,
a Canadian missionary , for his longtime work in translating the
Bible from the original languages to Hakka. Rev McLean who has
been in
Taiwan for 12 years, is now ending his missionary
assignment to return to his native
Canada. ....................
