Feb.1873 Mon. 10. Very early all arose and took our Bibles, Worked hard throughout the day. At night dissected parts of goats, hens etc. It was near morning when each retired - - Tues 11. Bible again and Church History during the day the Materia Medica of the most useful medicines at night. Wed. 12. The Epistles and again the life of Christ took our time of dispensing to the suffering ones-- Night Physiology of some Organi（***）. Thurs 13. Genesis and Timothy by day, church His. by night - dissected lungs of Pigs. all Worked hard the whole time. Lords Supper. The first time. Fri. 14. The children of Israel in Egypt and crossing the Red sea.-- Geography, Astronomy, Ch. His. - Sang at mid-night. Sat. 15. The Lord's Supper（聖餐） discussed again, then a long & careful Review which lasted till near Midnight. Because Now We must go forth into the “lanes and streets.” Sun. 16. Forenoon preached in English on Prov. 8：17. In the afternoon an immense crowd assembled in front of our dwelling which was crammed. The five who were baptized last sab. sat around our Lords table to commemorate His dying love. Lim Giet（林孽）. trembling fell down on his knees and said he was unworthy and would not dare to sit there. It caused great Stir. I told him to go into a room and ask guidance, remembering our Lord's directions. In the meantime we all Started a time and sung two or three hymns When he came out and sat quietly down. So we broke bread and poured out wine for the first time in North Formosa to commemorate the dying love of our Blessed Redeemer. The crowd looked anxiously on, but there was better order than on the preceeding Sab.（指2月9日） In the eve. we have a glorious thanksgiving meeting.
