Had a pleasant trip on the Japanese stream. Left Keeling 12:30 P.M. arrived 7 A .M. at Lam-hong-o(南方澳) – Christians met us at the Steamer and took us ashore –Worship in the eve.

1900.05.20 Sun.

Passed through So-o (蘇澳)and Ki-bu-lan (淇武蘭)and Lau-lau-a(流流仔) and spent the night at Ka-le-oan(加禮宛) – service in the eve.

1900.05.21 Mon.

Went to Chin-chu-li-kan (珍珠里簡)had worship. Passed through Pi-thau(埤頭)-tat-ah (? 打那美?)and had dinner at Sau-hut(掃笏), then arrived at Ang-chha-na(紅柴林) Passed through shrubbery and heard that the savage speared a herd boy just after we passed—

Went to Teng-poa-po-o (頂破布烏)and E-poa-po-o(下破布烏) – Chheng-kui-siaN (槍櫃社)and on to SaN-kiat-a-koe(三結仔街) – worship in eve. very hot—

Saw the ruin of Tang-mn-thau(董門頭)and the new chapel at Pai-li(擺里)

1900.05.23 Wed.

Went to Sin-a-hang(辛仔罕)– Bu-loan (武暖)and spent the night at Pho-au

The two former chapel is ruins—

1900.05.24 Thurs.

Passed through Hoan-sia-thau(番社頭), preached and baptized 24. night at Ta-ma-ien (打馬煙) Splendid meeting. Bible woman and preacher did good teaching—Hot.

1900.05.25 Fri.

Went to Toa-tek –ui(大竹圍) and Ki-lip-tan(奇立丹)chapel at both places in ruins—Christian hearty tho and hopeful. Hot.

1900.05.26 Sat.

We were escorted out of Ta-ma-ien (打馬煙) to the ferry boat hy a number singing hymns some were in tears. Arrived in Sin-sia(新社)—

1900.05.27 Sun.

Came on to Teng-siang-khoe (頂雙溪)– held eve. meeting. Hot.

1900.05.28 Mon.

Left at 6 A .M. and at 11 A .M. at the Keeling Chapel—

Took the train at 3 P.M. and came on to Bang-kah(艋舺)—
