We started at 2 A.M. and at noon were at Kong-sang-kia Railway Station-

Train left at 2 P.M. and at 7 P.M. we were at Bang-kah (艋舺) Church.

Rain in torrents.-

Kau-a went to Ho-be （滬尾/淡水）at 9 A.M. and got to Bang-kah at 5 P.M. –

I arrived from ToatiutiaN （大稻埕）at 1 P.M.

We came out to Tamsui （淡水）at 11 A.M. Hos. at noon. Col. in eve.

Dr. Landesbourgh （蘭大衛）and Rev. Moody （梅監務）dined with us-

Weather cleared up. Hos. at noon. Kau and I went to IN-khu-a （圓窟仔）at 12 A.M. and arrived at 5 P.M. Dry weather, windy, cold.

I preached on Isai. （以賽亞書) 44:20-30 persons present. We came back at 4 P..

and at 6 P.M. I spoke in Col. Phil.（腓立比書） 1,8

I spoke on Isai. 44:20 in the Hos. because repairing the chapel.

Get telegram at 10 A.M. " Our Coverner expected Keelung this week please help him and wire Tainan fu （台南府） of arrival" Campbell（甘為霖）.

Met in col. in evening.

Kau-a, Giam and I went by steam launch to bang-kah（艋舺）.

Worship in eve. 35 present.

1898.10.25 Tues.

Kau-a and I went to Keelung. I spoke in the eve. on Phoan-ko (磐古), Tsui leng（郭水蘢 and Chiam Ok （詹屋）were there at Station when we arrived, because they were sent ahead to wait for the Coverner. Went to Sia-liau（社寮島/和平島）.

Rain all night, rain all day-

A Japanese Steamer came in and we all expected the converner. Kau-a and Tien-leng (天能)went out in a launch! But he did not come.

I went with Kai-loah （芥辣）to the Jetty and as the street was water and mud and as rain poured down we were in a wretched condition-came back and change clothes. Still hard to dry-Chapel roof leaking because the building damaged by the last Typhoon. Preachers rooms with wall down chapel wet, damp and getting water every day-

I spoke in 1 Kings（列王紀上） XVIII:21. Church full, we came out to Tamsui.
